Biography of Dr. Reza Nazarahari

Dr Reza Nazarahari, arrived in Helsinki on 23 September 2006 and presented his credentials to President of the Republic Tarja Halonen at an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace on 2 November.
Dr Nazarahari is a career diplomat and his previous posting was as Senior Officer in International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

New Iranian Ambassador to Finland, Dr Reza Nazarahari, arrived in Helsinki on 23 September 2006 and presented his credentials to President of the Republic Tarja Halonen at an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace on 2 November.
Dr Nazarahari is a career diplomat and his previous posting was as Senior Officer in International Affairs at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Nazarahari is 44, and got his BA in Diplomatic Relations from the College of International Relations in Tehran in 1989. For postgraduate studies he continued his education at Azad University of Tehran and received his M.A. degree in Political Science in 1992. Dr. Nazarahari took his PhD in Political Science from the University of Kent in Canterbury (UK) in 1996.
Dr Nazarahari speaks fluent English and good Arabic. He is married to Ms. Seddigheh Nazarahari and they have two children.

Dr. Nazarahari has presented papers in seminars in UK, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Tajikistan. He has also taught political thought, Islamic political thought, international peace and security and international relations.
